Both teams have won 25+ games. UNT enjoying a school record for season wins, with an opportunity to add to that.
What can we expect? It wouldn’t surprise me to see us hold SHSU to a season low point total. I think how teams react to our pace becomes key. It’s not uncommon for some amount of frustration to kick in the 2H.
As of this post, I do not see a spread.
So I plan to talk to Mac tomorrow, and write a preview Saturday-ish. But yeah what strikes me about them is they are a good team. I tweeted this and meant to put it in the Alcorn State recap: It should not surprise us at this stage of the postseason to encounter tough games because the teams we are playing are good. SHSU is good! They are winners! They want to impress and win a championship!
If North Texas has designs on being a good American program, and have NCAA Tourney journeys we all have to be comfortable with this kind of thing. Fans and program (program is much more ready for it than the fans are, imho)
